Warmest regards,

Ayanna B.

Secretary of Sullivan McKlerc

McKlerc Designs Inc.”

It seemed as though something might work in my favor after all. Thanks to Noel's graceful review of Nation’s Paradise, I was able to put a name to the handsome stranger she held captive Thursday night. Not only did I find out his name, but I also stumbled upon the fact that he was a very popular and wealthy architect. I knew the man looked like money but I’d bet my very last dollar that his shit smelled like money as well. The thought of being in his presence made my insides jump. All it took was a professional email to his little architect firm, introducing Mr. Mann’s legal assistance services, and now here they were asking me to come in and meet the man. Of course, I was going to take him up on that offer, but discussing our legal services would be the last thing on my mind. I wanted to inquire about getting on his team personally.

After I responded by to Ms. Ayanna I dialed Mr. Mann’s extension and told him I wasn’t feeling well and that I was leaving for the day. He said that was fine especially since it was a slow day, and he, too, was headed home for the day. I forwarded all the calls to his cell, packed up my belongings and headed out of the building.

As I was heading to my car parked in a nearby garage, I fished around in my MK tote for my keys. Noel always fussed at me for not taking my keys out of my bag before exiting the building but some old habits are just unbreakable. As I dogged around for my keys, not paying attention to where I was walking, I felt someone roughly bump my shoulder. Logically I shouldn’t have been upset, but out of instinct, it pissed me off to the point I snapped my neck back and yelled out, startling those around me.

“I understand some people lack parental guidance, but say excuse me the next time you bump into somebody,” I spat to the wildly curled hair chick who was hanging on the arm of some lanky looking dude.

She stopped in her tracks and turned heading back towards me. I was hot and ready to take my frustrations from previous days out on anybody who tried me. If it happened to be this Elle Varner looking bitch, then so be it.

“Dreia baby, let it go and come on. The bitch ain’t even worth it. Trust me.” The lanky guy said as he turned around and grabbed her by her arm, yanking her towards the opposite direction.

As soon as the words left the muthafucka’s mouth I was ready to charge his ass too. His hooded thug attire didn’t scare me one bit. I’d been known to drop a nigga or two. The girl was yanking her ass off trying to get to me. I guess she really wanted this ass whooping.

“Let me go Rondrick! I want this bitch.
